A NICE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE ART WORLD

Making a statement after the results of the competition were announced, ÖĞ-DER Chairman Numan Gökmen pointed out that the theme of the Short Film Script competition, which was held for the 12th time this year, was 'Patience and Pain'.

He underlined that the theme was determined after the February 6 earthquakes.

"There are pains as well as joys in life, such as earthquakes, or the massacres committed by the occupying Israel in Gaza, which is on our agenda right now. Our part here is to be patient and struggle to find solutions to the problems we face. Art is one of our biggest helpers in this struggle. We had determined the theme of the competition, pain and patience, after the earthquakes our country experienced, but while the competition was continuing, the genocide and massacres of the Zionist State of Israel began in Gaza. We saw that this massacre had an impact on our screenwriters, as a matter of fact, it came in scripts about Palestine. I consider this as a good development for the art world. I would like to thank everyone who worked hard and participated in our competition with their works on the subject of patience and pain, both in Gaza and other areas of life," Gökmen said.
