Turkey's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Leader Devlet Bahçeli called on the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) to cooperate to work on the new constitution, as the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party indicates to the urgency of constitutional change to pave the way for the presidential system.
Speaking at his party's weekly parliamentary group meeting, Bahçeli said that his party received the draft constitution proposal, adding that the new constitution proposal includes the “President of the republic” definition instead of “presidency”.
