The farmer is crying blood in the fields that are gushing with abundance due to the rains. Policies that will encourage industrialists and traders in grain purchase must be implemented in order to increase the market prices to the purchase price of the Turkish Grain Board (TMO).
The fire in a strategic product such as wheat, which is closely related to the food supply of 85 million people, is scorching the farmer.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Commerce, who are in charge of extinguishing this fire, play the three monkeys, and all the responsibility has been placed on TMO, which has no decision-making authority.
APPOINTMENT SYSTEM IS CANCELED DUE TO OVERDEMAND
Due to the unforeseen wheat and barley imports made until the end of April, the industrialists and traders could not reach financing and the loan costs were too high, the wheat and barley produced by the farmers remained in their hands.
While industrialists and traders buy the farmer's product at a dead price by making great opportunism, the appointment system is bankrupt due to excessive demand in TMO.
Great cruelty to the farmer in wheat production! The farmer, who had a productive harvest this year due to the rains, could not rejoice in the increasing abundance of products. The increase in yield and the abundance of crops returned to the farmer not as income growth, but as cruelty.
With the grain harvest, the fields bursting with abundance turn into a fire, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Commerce, who are responsible for extinguishing this fire, have left the farmer to their fate.
ALL RESPONSIBILITY IS ATTACHED TO TMO WITH NO DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY
Although the fire in the grain harvest has a huge importance for the country's economy with its agricultural production, manufacturing, export, import and consumer dimensions, the problem is tried to be solved by destroying only one general directorate.
Although TMO is not a decision-making institution, all the responsibility is placed on the general directorate and the decision-making ministries (Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Ministry of Trade) play three monkeys, putting Turkey's agricultural production in great danger.

The grain purchase price was announced by President Erdogan on June 6. Accordingly, the purchase price of bread wheat would be 8 thousand 250 liras plus a thousand lira premium, 9 thousand 250 liras, and the purchase price of barley would be 7 thousand 500 liras with a premium of 7 thousand liras plus 500 liras.
However, the fact that the industrialists and traders did not buy products from the farmer at this price caused all demands to be directed to TMO, and because of the inability of TMO to keep up with these demands, the cries of the farmers began to rise from the fields that were gushing with abundance.
