In this direction, it was announced by the Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca that after-hours patient admission was started upon the request of the physician.
Ankara City Hospital Coordinator Chief Physician Dr. Aziz Ahmet Surel, in his statement, said that radical changes were made with the Additional Payment Regulation, which came into effect within the scope of the White Reform.
Explaining that the previously determined rules regarding the personal rights and payments of the health workers involved in the provision of health services have changed, Surel said, "In this direction, it was ensured that both service providers and service recipients benefited more. With the new application, health services in the areas needed by our citizens have started to be provided by our teams formed during non-working hours."
"HEALTH PERSONNEL WILL GET INCENTIVES"
Explaining that the health personnel working outside of working hours will receive incentive payments in return for this service, Surel emphasized that those who cannot find the opportunity during the day will have the chance to be examined at different times.
Chief Physician Dr. Aziz Ahmet Surel pointed out that access to health services in Turkey is at a higher level than many developed countries of the world, and gave the following information:
"The rate of application to health institutions in our country is higher than in many countries. There are certain polyclinics where the demands are concentrated in these applications. The application allows our citizens, who cannot find an appointment or come to the hospital during those hours due to the busyness in the clinics during the day, cannot have their medication prescribed or have their check-ups done, to receive this service outside of working hours. At the same time, it is possible to further increase the service capacity of hospitals."
"OUT OF WORK APPLICATION STARTED IN SEPTEMBER"
Surel stated that as of September, out-of-hours examinations started in the polyclinics with the highest number of applications. Stating that the capacity of polyclinics will be increased with the widespread use of the application, Surel added as follows:
"We have a serious physician capacity. We are trying to meet the health needs of our citizens with our qualified physician capacity. We create an additional working area outside of working hours in proportion to the service our colleagues who have the opportunity produce during the day. Some of our clinics can be between 17.00-19.00, some between 17.00-22.00. Again, some of our clinics can open one polyclinic and some nine outpatient clinics during these hours. This may vary according to the demand of both the citizens and the healthcare team that will serve."
