Two separate news reports that I saw one after another last week reminded me of the sentence in the headline.

The first of the news gives information about a development in Denmark. The other news includes the allegation of dangerous plans regarding the political structure of the Balkans.

Let me talk about Denmark first.

According to the information reflected in the media, the Danish government started to cancel the residence permits of Syrians living in their country one by one.

The reason of the Danish government, which informed the Syrians via e-mail, is that "certain parts of Syria are now safe!"

In other words, Denmark says "the war in your country is over, you can leave our country now."

Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister and leader of the Social Democratic Party, leads Denmark's tough attitude towards Syrians.

In fact, Frederiksen is a well known name in Turkey. Recently, he had been on the agenda in Turkey with his photograph falling to agencies.

The image of the "Prime Minister who wiped the windows of his house on a Sunday morning" was shared in all channels. In our country, there is already a mass of politicians who ride bicycles, sit on the stairs and read a book, and queue at the market.

Frederiksen's photo was just the kind of photo they wanted.

As you can see in the news, Frederiksen's approach to refugees, on the other hand, is giving us a lesson of "humanity"(!) with his simple and popular life.

He explains that Syria is now a safe country and his goal in Denmark is not to leave any refugees/asylum seekers.

Meanwhile, the same Frederiksen decided to send a frigate, a warship, four warplanes and a battalion to support the PKK/PYD-controlled areas in Syria a year and a half ago.

It is impossible not to worry, will Frederiksen himself go to those areas of Syria that he called safe for a week, not permanently, but as a tourist?

Of course no. He knows that Syria, the victim of proxy wars including his own country, does not seem possible to recover in a short time.

But in Danish domestic politics it comes to the job of chasing these "unwanted foreigners" to get one more vote.

Let's get to the other news.

Allegedly, an unofficial diplomatic document that envisions redrawing the borders of 5 countries in order to resolve ethnic divisions in the Balkans is circulating these days.

According to the report, which claims that ethnic separations in the Balkans should be ended as a condition for integration with the European Union, the separation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the annexation of Republika Srpska (RS), one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Serbia, The cantons are planned to be linked to Croatia and Kosovo to be unified with Albania.

The document, which also calls for the rejection of Bosnia and Herzegovina's EU membership, emphasizes Turkey's liaison with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia.

In fact, the report clearly reveals the fact that the countries whose borders will be lost or narrowed are Muslim countries.

Obviously, it is aimed to ensure the socio-cultural integration of the Balkans, which Europe wants to use as a reservoir of opportunities and people. The existence of Islam is seen as an obstacle against the European culture created with reference to the Greek-Roman past.

The positive aspect of the matter is that this report, which is allegedly prepared by the Prime Minister of Slovenia, is not owned by anyone and all sections approach the issue with concern.

However, the issue that caused us to bring this report side by side with Denmark's refugee policy; It proves that nothing has changed on the western front.

"Social cohesion", the magic word used by Frederiksen when Syrians are out, seems to have given its color to the report, which is said to have traveled around the Balkans.

What they do not say explicitly is the policies involving Islam and anti-xenophobia, which have gained political votes recently.

Unfortunately, the Western mind often cannot give up the tendency to adapt to the culture of coexistence and lead a conflict-centered life.
