Scientist Prof. Dr. Teoman Durali passed away at the age of 74. Having undergone two surgeries in November due to cancer treatment, Prof. Dr. Durali gone to the eternity the previous day at his home in Istanbul. Durali's funeral prayer was held yesterday at Fatih Mosque in the afternoon. As well as family members, Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop, Future (Gelecek) Party Chairman Prof. Dr. Ahmet Davutoğlu and many politicians attended to Durali's funeral. Durali's body, was buried in the family cemetery in the Aşiyan Cemetery after the funeral prayer led by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez who was the former Chairman of Religious Affairs.

Felicity (Saadet) Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu was among the statesmen who issued a condolence message after the death of one of the leading names in the world of science, Prof. Dr. Teoman Duralı. Karamollaoğlu, stating that he learned of Prof. Dr. Teoman Durali's death with deep sadness, said, "May God have mercy on him; I send my condolences and patience to his family, his students and all his loved ones. May his place be in heaven, may his rank be high."
