Oğuzhan Asiltürk is one of the important names of Turkish politics. Late Oğuzhan Asiltürk fought for the case of National Vision as the Chairman of the High Advisory Board of the Felicity Party. So, who is Oguzhan Asiltürk?

Late Oğuzhan Asiltürk, Chairman of the High Advisory Board of the Felicity (Saadet) Party and Chairman of the National Vision (Milli Görüş) Foundation, he fought shoulder to shoulder with the late National Vision leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan for many years. Oğuzhan Asiltürk, who served as a minister and deputy in the Milli Görüş movement, showed an ummah-like approach to issues with his unique style. Asiltürk, who came to the fore with his prudent stance on political issues, was right with the ascent of Ergenekon after years. 
 

WHO IS OĞUZHAN ASİLTÜRK? 

 
Oğuzhan Asiltürk was born on May 25, 1935, in the Hekimhan district of Malatya, as the children of the couple Mahmut Besim and Fatma Asiltürk. He served for many years as the Minister of Interior and Minister of Industry and Technology.
 
Oğuzhan Asiltürk graduated from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Civil Engineering, later he entered politics.
 
Late Oğuzhan Asiltürk, who fought shoulder to shoulder with late National Vision Leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, faced bans and slanders in the ummah case.
 
Late Asiltürk, who was detained for a year due to the National Salvation (Milli Selamet) Party Case, was later tried and acquitted. He was banned from politics for 10 years. The ban was lifted with the 1987 constitutional referendum. 
 
After the ban was lifted, he was elected as the General Secretary of the Welfare (Refah) Party in the first congress. 11 years later, he was elected as a deputy from Malatya again. He later joined the Virtue (Fazilet) Party. 
 
Asiltürk, who was elected as the Chairman of the High Advisory Board (Yüksek İstişare Kurulu) of the Felicity (Saadet) Party after the death of National Vision leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, also has a book called "Strengthening the Social Structure". 
 
Asiltürk said that with the Ergenekon and Balyoz cases, the anti-American cadres in the army were liquidated. Arguing that the 28 February Postmodern coup cannot be costed to the entire army, Asiltürk, stated that a group of the junta generals started the February 28 process with the support of the media, businessmen and other political parties. 
 
He was among the founders of the 5th party of National Vision, the Saadet Party. 
 
Late Oğuzhan Asiltürk, continued his duty as the Chairman of the National Vision Foundation, was married and had four children. 
 
Oğuzhan Asiltürk passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 86.
