Felicity (Saadet) Party Konya Provincial Organization held its provincial council meeting in August at the provincial organization.
Saadet Party Spokesperson Birol Aydın, General Advisory Board Member Atty. Hasan Hüseyin Uyar and Provincial Inspector Ali Mücevher also participated.
The council meeting, attended by many members of the Saadet Party, along with provincial and district administrations, continued with report presentations after the speeches.
Birol Aydın, who took the floor at the council meeting, "Unfortunately, the problems of our country are spreading and deepening. When the presidential government system came, Turkey would be among the world's largest economies, and it would almost fly. Turkey would be freed from its shackles, the tutelage period would come to an end, and the rearing period would begin. However, this system has dealt a heavy blow to the economy of our country since its inception. Our citizens feel the poverty brought by this system more and more every day. The system, which is said to prepare Turkey for a new era, has taken Turkey back in every field. The Presidential Government System is one of the most important causes of the current economic crisis. This system cannot remove Turkey, this system harms Turkey," he said.
"PEOPLE GET POOR IN ONE NIGHT"
Drawing attention to the economic situation of the country, the spokesperson of the party, Aydın, said, "According to the data of the Central Bank, the dollar rate, which was at the level of 3.78 on January 1, 2018, increased to 8.73 as of June 30, 2021, showing a record increase and increased by more than 450% in the last 10 years. In the same period, the European currency Euro rose from 4.54 to 10.39 liras. Our people become poor overnight due to the decisions made by one person, they lose what they have earned overnight. Today, Turkey is among the countries that are really pointed out with its inflation and interest rates. We are faced with a similar situation in the high interest ranking. In terms of interest rates, Turkey currently ranks 7th after Congo, Iran and Haiti with an interest rate of 19%. Countries with higher interest rates than Turkey are countries like Venezuela, Liberia, Suriname and Zimbabwe. Turkey has the highest interest rate among OECD countries. It is clear where those who say that Europe is jealous of us and that Europe will crack while talking on the podiums and on television have brought Turkey to a certain point."
HOW WILL YOUNG PEOPLE BE HAPPY?
Emphasizing that citizens struggling with their livelihoods cannot add any benefit to the country, Birol Aydın continued his words as follows:
"How will people struggling with their livelihood and unsure of their future add value to this country, how will they be beneficial? How will the academic or artist produce? How will the young people be happy? Turkey is in an economic bottleneck. May the President compare the sales of refrigerators and televisions with 2002 as much as he wants, Turkey is in an economic crisis that will not match that period. Let him hide himself from these facts as much as he wants, the people cannot get along. Unless Turkey gets rid of the system that is too narrow for it, and this system is not radically changed, no reform and incentive packages will be able to solve this problem."
