Turkey's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, rose 367.16 points or 0.35 percent to open at 104,274.74 points on Wednesday.
The banking and holding sectors indices increased 0.63 percent and 0.25 percent, respectively.
Among all sectors, the mining sector index was the best performer, rising 0.95 percent, while the wholesale and retail sector index fell 0.26 percent.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 3.5660 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Wednesday, compared with 3.5810 at Tuesday’s close.
The BIST 100 was down 0.02 percent to close at 103,907.57 points on Tuesday with a trading volume of 4.8 billion Turkish liras (around $1.33 billion).
