While the staffing arrangement for contracted employees is expected to come into effect in November, "Birlik Haber-Sen", affiliated to the "Memur-Sen" labour union, held a press release in front of the PTT Ankara Chief Directorate in order to include the employees with IHS and ÖHT who were excluded from the scope.
Speaking in the press release, "Birlik-Haber-Sen" Chairman Ömer Budak called for the employees not to be forgotten. Drawing attention to the fact that they organized a signature campaign for the arrangement of the staff, Budak emphasized that more than 100 thousand signatures were collected.
"As a result of the petition we started to recruit the IHS personnel working in the PTT and the ÖHT personnel working in the TRT, we received more than 100 thousand signatures from every corner of our country, together with our colleagues waiting for the position, simultaneously across Turkey, in the Labor and Social Security We send it to the Ministry. We will announce that we want to be included in the process of recruiting contracted employees in the public sector," he said.
EXPRESSED AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY THAT MUST COVER ALL EMPLOYEES
Pointing out that the process of recruiting contracted employees in the public sector has been going on for a long time, Budak stated that the 6th Term Collective Agreement includes the provision of recruiting contracted employees.
"In 2022, many meetings were held between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and Memur-Sen delegations, and the demands and expectations of the employees were expressed, and it was stated at every opportunity that the work should cover all contracted employees, he added.
NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE
Budak stated that within the scope of the union, there are approximately 12 thousand Administrative Service Contracted personnel at the PTT and 4 thousand contracted personnel at the TRT, which are subject to Private Law Provisions, and underlined that the employees within the institutions work with different personal rights and salaries.
"Our primary request is to eliminate the differences in wages, to ensure job security, and to establish work peace by eliminating the differences, so that the personnel with Administrative Service contract at the PTT can get the right to work as a civil servant in the contracted personnel subject to the Decree No. necessary adjustments must be made. We send staff requests to the Ministry with more than 100 thousand signatures given by our aggrieved friends," Budak stated.
