After the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, serious destruction took place in 10 provinces, and 13.5 million people were affected by the earthquakes only in the region.

Cansuyu Aid and Solidarity Association and Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), National Youth Foundation (MGV), which started to work in the regions at the beginning of the earthquake on February 6, made a joint press statement regarding their work.

“AFAD NOTIFIED AT 6 A.M., OUR FIRST TEAMS STARTED WORK ON THE RUBBLE AT 7 A.M.”

Stating that the works have continued in the earthquake zones since the first moment of the earthquake, Cansuyu Association Chairman Mustafa Köylü referred to the works they carried out in the earthquake zone.

"The earthquake occurred at 4.17 am. AFAD informed us at 6 o'clock. Our crews set off at 9 o'clock. However, our search and rescue team, which was in Adana around 7 o'clock, started to operate at the head of the wreckage. Therefore, we are pleased to observe that we are in a structure that responds to earthquakes as quickly as possible through our base organizations," he said.

“WE ARE ORGANIZATIONS THAT ESTABLISHED TO WIN THE CONSENT OF ALLAH AND TO SERVE HUMANITY”

Drawing attention to the sister organizations with widespread organization throughout Turkey, Köylü stated that their perspectives on the studies were the same.

"As the Cansuyu association, we have search and rescue teams and aid organizations. However, besides this, we have sister organizations that are very common among the people. Chief among these is our organization such as the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), which is the strongest youth organization in Turkey. We thank Allah for having them. From whichever point of view we look at these organizations, our perspective is the same. The perspective is the same both within our youth association, within our teachers' associations, and within all Milli Görüş organizations within our technical staff. We are organizations established to win Allah's approval and serve humanity. In this way, we can get to the events very quickly," he added.

“300 TRUCKS OF AID TRANSPORTED TO THE REGION”

Underlining that Milli Görüş organizations started to work to deliver aid to the region from the first hour of the earthquake, Köylü stated that more than 4,000 people were assigned to the region.

"Our search and rescue teams, our teams that set up tents, our teams that distribute food, our teams that send incoming aid, and our teams that support the search and rescue teams, were all carried out with over 4,000 people. With the guidance of AFAD, our expert delegation of 100 people started rescue activities in 5 different cities. They dug 33 of our brothers alive from under the rubble. Our coordination centers and logistics centers were established in 10 provinces. 12 soup kitchens were established in 10 provinces. Our blanket distribution was approximately 50,000. Our aid in items such as beds, miscellaneous clothing, generators, bread, water, coal, tents, water tanks, mobile toilets, baby diapers, baby food, stoves, tube heaters, tubes, miscellaneous food, cleaning and hygiene packages were sent to our brothers who fell in need in the region. A total of 300 trucks and vehicle aid were transferred to the region from various parts of Turkey," he added.

“AFTER TODAY, WE WILL EXIST IN DISASTER REGIONS”

Expressing that he will continue to work with AGD all over Turkey, Köylü underlined that Turkey is a country of earthquakes and disasters.

"I hope we will always exist in disaster areas after today. I hope we will stand by not only our brothers in the region, but also the survivors dispersed in Anatolia and other provinces. From the first moment of the earthquake, the heart of our nation beat for our brothers and sisters who were victims in the region. Our nation showed their best efforts. I say God bless all our nation. I wish God's mercy on our brothers who passed away there, I pray to God for our wounded brothers to find a cure as soon as possible, I wish patience from God to our brothers who are in pain. Get well soon to all our nation, condolences to all our nation," he stated.

“WE WILL NOT LEAVE THE REGION WITHOUT HEALING THE WOUNDS AND REQUESTING ACCOUNT FOR NEGLIGENCES”

AGD-MGV Chairman Salih Turhan, who started his speech by wishing God's mercy for those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured, stated that their organization has been on the field since the first moment of the earthquake.

"By establishing logistics and coordination centers in every province in the region, we ensured the distribution of incoming aid, the establishment of tent cities, and food distribution through soup kitchens. With the admirable work of the professional search and rescue teams of our Cansuyu association, we are all happy that, by Allah's leave, many living citizens were rescued from the rubble. Our work and all these efforts have not come to an end. From the first seconds of the earthquake, all of our brothers called us saying, 'How can we run to the aid of our brothers, what can we do?' God bless all." Stating that we will not leave the regions and close this issue without alleviating these pains, healing these wounds, and then asking for accountability for the negligence that caused these pains," he said.

“WE WILL CONTINUE OUR WORK TO END THIS ORDER”

Turhan, conveying information about the areas they deem important as AGD and MGV, stated that their efforts will continue in the future as they have done so far.

"Morality, spirituality and merit are necessary for every person, for every profession, for every official, in every field and every moment of life. As AGD-MGV, we strive to raise such young people. We will continue to strive to raise people with morality, spirituality and merit in the fields of geology, architecture, engineering and contracting. Earthquake; It has also revealed the rent scheme, which is revealed by abusing the good intentions of our society, the buildings that are raised with the greed of earning and money, and the hypocrisy of the people who cause them. We will reach every part of our society and do the necessary work to end this order," he added.

“SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION”

Referring to the issue of interruption of education due to the earthquake, Turhan pointed out that it is important not to interrupt the education under any circumstances.

"All non-governmental organizations should give the necessary support to the Ministry of National Education and the Council of Higher Education in order to fill the education gap. I would also like to express that we are ready to do our part. We have opened our dormitories for our young people who will take the university exam and LGS, and we are creating the infrastructure to provide classroom services for these young people. Our university organization has been writing epics by carrying out its works in the field since the first time of the earthquake. From now on, it will carry out educational support activities for university students in the region and other young people who migrated to different cities," he said.

“STEPS REGARDING THE FOLLOWING WORKS ARE TAKEN”

Stating that there are studies on the citizens who had to migrate to other provinces from the earthquake zone, Turhan stated that every organization continues to work in the region and other provinces.

"Our middle schools commission started the 'Explorers share their toys' study. Our graduate education commission started to prepare the earthquake report with a team of academics. Our women's branches and high school organizations work day and night in the earthquake zone. They form the infrastructure of our future work. We opened all our dormitories and student houses for use for our citizens who had to migrate to different provinces from the earthquake zone. We also started the sibling home study. We are opening many new homes. Preparations for the creation of search and rescue teams in all our provincial and district organizations have begun," he stated.
