Cansuyu Aid Association continues its charity work to share the blessings and enthusiasm of Ramadan with people in need. The association, which organizes Ramadan organizations in the country and in the oppressed geographies of the world with the slogan ‘Our earnings are what we give for the sake of Allah Almighty’, finally delivered its aid to Bangsamoro, located in the south of the Philippines.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION WAS REALIZED

Cansuyu, who has been with the war victims in Moro since the conflicts that started in 2017, delivered the relics of its donors this time within the scope of 2022 Ramadan aid. Ramadan food packages, which were prepared to meet the needs of a family for one month, were delivered to a total of 500 families in three different shelter centers. After the food distribution, the Cansuyu teams came together with the orphan students receiving hafiz training and distributed gift packages to the orphans.

“BANGSAMORO WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH HELP TO STAND UP”

In addition to Ramadan projects, there are also permanent works such as orphanages, schools and health centers. Cansuyu teams, which held meetings in Turkey, also signed agreements on projects in this area, making an important step towards the work that will bring the Bangsamoro, which is in the autonomy process, back to life.

Making statements about the process and the activities carried out in the region, Cansuyu Association Foreign Relations Coordinator Bilal Değirmenci stated that they provided aid to the region from the very first moment of the conflict. Değirmenci said, “In 2017, in Marawi, one of the important cities of the Bangsamoro Muslim community, after the terrorist groups took over the city, the city was in ruins with the war, which lasted for months between Philippines army and the terrorist groups, and nearly one million people became refugees in the surrounding areas. We, as Cansuyu, have tried to heal the wounds of the people in the region from the first moment of the conflict, and we will continue to deliver our aid from now on.”
