Access to clean water continues to be a problem in many regions of the world. According to the latest data, while 1 billion people in the world do not have access to clean water, the water consumed by approximately 2 billion people does not comply with hygiene rules.
While a thousand children die every day due to diseases caused by water sources that do not comply with hygiene rules, nearly 2 million people die every year due to drought, disease and difficulties in reaching water. Cansuyu Association continues to provide hope to people with the water wells it has opened in different continents and countries, especially in Africa.
EPIDEMIC DISEASES SPREAD WHEN THE NEED FOR CLEAN WATER IS NOT MET
While drought, poverty, rapid population growth and pollution continue to threaten potable water resources, epidemics continue to spread, especially in Africa and Asia, in regions where the need for clean water cannot be met, and people have to walk many kilometers to meet their clean water needs.
THOUSANDS OF WATER WELL OPENED
Cansuyu Association, which functions as a bridge between the benefactors and the needy, continues its activities without interruption to contribute to the solution of the problem of access to clean water for more than 2 billion people with its water well projects. Cansuyu, which has increased its activities in different parts of the world, especially in the countries of the Asian and African continent, has opened thousands of water wells to the service of humanity with the support of donors.
“EVEN OUR WELLS OPENED YEARS AGO STILL WORKING”
In the statement made by the Foreign Relations Coordinatorship of the Cansuyu Association, stating that both the foreign relations commission and the partner organizations in the region acted together in determining the points opened by the association, the most needed region was determined.
"Before drilling water wells, we meticulously handle issues such as soil analysis, the amount of water, the location of the well to be drilled, how many people will meet the needs, who will be entrusted with the safety of the well, its maintenance and sustainability. So much so that even our wells, which were dug years ago as a result of this meticulousness, still work today, meeting the needs of people and making their lives easier," the statement said.
