Turkey's relations with Latin American countries have gained momentum in recent years.
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will visit Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Venezuela between 23-29 April.
A new step is being taken in Turkey-Latin America relations.
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is going on a tour that covers 6 countries.
Çavuşoğlu's visit to Latin America will last 7 days.
The first stop will be Uruguay.
Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu will also visit Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Venezuela.
During the visit, bilateral relations as well as global and regional issues will be discussed.
Turkey-Brazil Fourth High Level Cooperation Commission and Turkey-Venezuela Third Joint Cooperation Commission meetings will also be held.
Tourism cooperation and increasing the trade volume with continental countries will be also on the agenda during the visit.
Turkey also strengthened its diplomatic presence in the continent with its Latin America initiative.
The number of representative offices in the region has been increased from 5 in 2002 to 17 in 2022.
The number of embassies of Latin American countries in Turkey increased to 16.
