Defense and Office Support Services Syndicate (Savdes-Sen) set up a signature stand in front of the headquarters of their unions as part of the petition they launched to abolish the "auxiliary services class" (YHS), which causes great grievances in the public.

“YHS MUST BE REMOVED NOW”

Making a press statement in front of the signing stand they set up, Savdes-Sen Chairman Tuncay Cengiz stated that the time has come to address the problem of the auxiliary services class and said, “Respect for the profession is essential in the public sector. ‘Great effort and labor’ should not be ignored. The personnel in the auxiliary services class, who work hard, should be given the value they deserve, and the problems that have been gangrenous since 1965 should be urgently resolved. The ‘auxiliary services class’ in article 36 of the Civil Servants Law No. 657 should be abolished. Existing personnel employed in this class should be assigned to positions in other classes suitable for their education without being subjected to any procedure.”

WE AIM TO COLLECT MORE THAN 1 MILLION SIGNATURES

Speaking about the continuing signature campaigns, Cengiz said, “We will continue our signature campaign, which we started on August 15, 2022, until September 16, 2022 with the support of all civil servants, their families and our people working in 81 provinces and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Our goal is 1,100,000 signatures. We will present the collected signatures as a file to the Presidency and the headquarters of political parties until October 5, 2022.”
