It has been reported that two Muslim Uyghur Turks, who were detained by the cruel Chinese administration during the mass arrest process in East Turkestan, lost their lives in prison.
Haji'ahun, a local tradesman in his 70s, and his 60-year-old wife Mehpiremhan, whom China imprisoned during the detention campaign launched against the Uyghur Turks in 2017, lost their lives in prison.
In 2019, two Uyghur Turks were sentenced to 10 years in prison for their involvement in "illegal religious activities".
It is stated that the bodies of other Eastern Turkisan people who died in the Tumşuk Prison in the Maralbeshi region, where two Uyghur Turks died, were delivered to their families one week before the Eid al-Fitr.
According to the regional police contacted by Radio Free Asia, it is not known how many of the Uyghur Turkish prisoners died in the prison in question and for what reasons.
FED SPOILED FOOD
A source from the police station in Maralbeshi said that the number of prisoners who lost their lives in Tumsuk Prison was extremely high and that the deceased tradesman Haji'ahun was among the Uighur detainees who died before the Eid al-Fitr.
The source also stated that there are allegations that Uyghur Turks who died before the feast were fed spoiled food in the said prison. It is known that China has imprisoned more than one million Uighur Turks and sent them to concentration camps, claiming that they are radical(!).
