CHP and MHP held weekly group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
While CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu touched upon the early elections and whether President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be a candidate again, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli included the issue of snap elections in his speech.
“ENOUGH FOR THE MAFIA FATHERS”
Kılıçdaroğlu, regarding the use of the slogan “Enough, the word belongs to the nation” by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, marking the election date as 14 May, he said, "O Erdogan, if 'enough' is enough, it is enough for your palaces. If 'enough' is enough, it is enough for your children's billion-dollar foundations. If 'enough' is enough for your five gangs, mafia bosses, drug lords, powder puller! If that's enough, it's enough for the dealers you have Sinan Ateş killed! Enough of the photonovels that bring all kinds of filth into our country. If 'enough' is enough, it is enough for the millions of fugitives you have brought into the country."
“WHO APPOINTS SUPREME COURT MEMBERS?”
After the group meeting, Kılıçdaroğlu answered the question of the journalists as to whether it is legal for Erdoğan to be a candidate once again.
"Let's say we made a sound, where will it go? Who appoints YSK members? Erdogan. You have nowhere to object. The deaf sultan heard that I do not trust the YSK! We all know how the YSK will decide in which events. As if we will apply, the YSK will decide in accordance with the law. There is reason, there is logic."
BAHÇELİ SNAP AT REPORTER
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli touched upon the debates on whether President Erdogan will be a candidate again, "Those who claim that our President Erdogan will not be able to run again are the law ignorant, external pressure rabble," he said.
Bahçeli stated that the election law published in the Official Gazette on April 6, 2022 may be valid in the possible elections on May 14.
Repeating the call for the HDP to be closed, Bahçeli reacted to the Constitutional Court, which will evaluate the HDP's request for adjournment of the closure case.
Answering the questions of the journalists after the group meeting, Bahçeli was angry with the question about Sinan Ateş, who had many allegations after his death, and said to the reporter who asked the question, "Just do your thing".
