Citizens can not be glad in this horrible economic crisis!

In our country, while the citizens make the calculations to bring the end of the month, finance ministers are on the agenda with dropping clangers and the tabloid statements.

After the Minister of Finance said, “Do you get paid in dollars?” another Minister of Finance came who said, “Turkish Liras (TL) is at the bottom. Citizens should be comfortable…”

As the economic crisis in Turkey grows, the statements of the Finance Ministers deepen the economic crisis rather than relieve it. After the former Minister of Finance Berat Albayrak, who got a lot of reaction from the citizens with the clangers he dropped and the words he said, the current Minister of Finance Nurettin Nebati also frequently comes to the agenda with his comments on the economy. Minister Nurettin Nebati, who made people say, 'The one who comes makes the gone look for,’ finally said, "TL is at the bottom. People should be comfortable.” There are comments that Minister Nebati, who has caused quite a controversy with his statements such as "Look into my eyes," "You get a salary, what can you lose the most", has deepened the economic crisis instead of giving confidence to the market. On the other hand, while youth unemployment rates in Turkey were breaking records, Minister Nabati's words, "It is so sweet to be young in this country, it is so beautiful" had a great impact on the public.

“THIS SITUATION SHOWS THAT THE WAY IS END IN TERMS OF ECONOMY MANAGEMENT”

Economist Şevket Apuhan, commenting on the statements of the Minister of Finance Nurettin Nebati to the Milli Gazete, said, "We would like to talk about the Minister with his successful actions. Unfortunately, we had to talk about his gaffes. This situation actually shows that the road is over in terms of economic management. In fact, the Minister admitted this the other day and said, 'The Turkish Lira has nowhere to go yet. It is experiencing its the weakest time.’ This means: 'We are so unsuccessful that nothing worse can happen.' However, the Minister should have put forward a serious program and persuaded Mr. Erdogan to implement it."

“NOT AWARE OF THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE COURSE”

Stating that we are at a funny point in terms of economy, “Even though the statements made by the person in charge of the economy, which has become the most important issue for us at the moment, make us laugh, it also makes us think at the same time. I regret to say that he is not aware of the seriousness of the situation. Because before he became a minister, he was a business person in good financial condition. When he became a minister, he had to empathize with the low-income segments of the people, but he did not do that either. He continues to look at life from his own perspective. This is probably why he thinks the economy is very good. If he continues in this way, his duty will not be long-term, especially after the clangers he has dropped, and he will have to return to his commercial activities,” Şevket Apuhan added.

“THE PRINCIPLE OF LICENSE AND MERIT IS COMPLETELY CRUSHED”

Prof. Dr. Osman Altuğ, on the other hand, drew attention to the orders in the Qur'an in his special statements to our newspaper, "The Almighty Allah tells us in the 58th verse of Surat an-Nisa, that we must give the job to those who are competent. The order here is for Muslim heads of state. If a task has not been given to the competent, according to Islam, the one who gave that task also made a mistake, and the one who accepted that task also made a mistake. However, we are looking at the principle of 'licence and merit' that is completely crushed today. Then the following question comes to mind, ‘Isn't quality required in state administration in Turkey?’ Ask a sane academician from the public administration department, ‘Do you want to be the minister of finance?’ and you will definitely get the answer no. But unfortunately, the Minister is a graduate of Public Administration,” he said.

“PITY TO TURKEY, TURKEY DID NOT DESERVE THESE”

Osman Altuğ by saying every person should do his-her duty, “What Mr. Nebati insistently tries to do as new economic models is aspirin therapy for the economy. Because the economy model is not made to save the day. Shame on Turkey, Turkey did not deserve this. To say that the value of TL will not decrease any more is a big fiasco. Because the value of money cannot be determined by the Minister. Production determines the value of money. If consumption is more than production in a country, the value of that country's currency constantly decreases. The duty of the Minister of Finance is to collect the tax and evaluate the collected tax in a good way. The duty of the Minister of Finance is not to determine the lower limit and the upper limit of money,” he added.
