Defense, Office and Support Services Union (SAVDES-SEN) held a press release and action on the subject of ‘3600 Additional Indicators’ in front of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Tuncay Cengiz, Chairman of SAVDES-SEN, said, “Basically, in additional indicator studies, 'based on educational status instead of title', within this framework, 3600 additional indicators are given to every civil servant with higher education and first degree, without distinction of title and class, and that authority, responsibility and hierarchy are to be built on this foundation, it is necessary to raise the additional indicators from the bottom to the top in the form of a pyramid, to remove the auxiliary services class, to assign the existing personnel to other classes suitable for their training, and to make use of the additional indicator based on the conditions of recruitment of the contracted personnel.”

“INFLATION RATIOS SHOULD BE REFLECTED PERIODLY ON SALARIES”

Ensuring equality in the wages of civil servants and an increase in pensions worthy of human dignity Cengiz, who stated that this should be done, “Considering the fact that the results of the collective agreement made for 6 periods did not bring any benefit to the civil servants, and that they brought them below the poverty line, in civil servant salary increases; making it a principle that the annual increase amount should not be below the 'inflation rate and annual growth rate of the country', reflecting the inflation rates to the salaries of civil servants and retirees on a monthly basis in inflationary periods, making it a principle to add the annual growth rate of the country directly to the base salary every year, thus we demand that the welfare of civil servants and retirees be increased and raised above the poverty line,” he added.

“3600 ADDITIONAL INDICATOR SHOULD BE GIVEN TO EVERYONE WITH HIGHER EDUCATION”

Addressing the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Chairman Cengiz pointed out that there should be no discrimination in the 3600 additional indicator regulation and said, “Paliative solutions, saving the day, trying to please some titles on the basis of some titles do not eliminate the distortion, do not fix the damaged justice feeling. Our call; Let's not pretend to give, let everyone with higher education be given 3600 additional indicators without discrimination, basically without distinction of class and staff. Seniors should be determined on the basis of authority and responsibility.”
