The "Classes Competing in Kindness" project, implemented by Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) in coordination with the Ministry of National Education and "Eğitim Bir-Sen" educators union, continues since 2013.
With the start of the 2022-2023 academic year, students studying in schools all over Turkey will support their orphan siblings with the money they set aside from their pocket money.
With the project in which students from pre-school education institutions, primary school, secondary school, high school and private schools can participate, the culture of sharing becomes widespread among students.
In the press release regarding this charity work that IHH will be a bridge, the details of the 'Classes Competing in Kindness' project, which entered its 10th year this year, were conveyed.
“PROJECT STARTED TO BE IMPLEMENTED AT SCHOOLS AGAIN”
In the press release published on IHH's 'Classes Competing in Kindness' project, "Students delivered their favors to 49 different countries of the world, including Turkey. With the start of the new academic year, the project started to be implemented in schools again. Students from all over Turkey will convey their support to their orphan brothers and sisters through IHH. Students, participating in the 'Classes Competing in Kindness' project within the scope of IHH's Orphan Sponsorship System, must regularly collect 250 TL each month for at least one year after they decide to support an orphan. After the sponsorship process is started, the 'Orphan Summary Information Form' containing the country, name, age and photo of the orphans matched on behalf of the classes is sent to each class by post or e-mail," it was stated.
“IHH SUPPORTS ORPHANS”
The statement also included what those who want to support the project should do.
"Classes who want to participate in the 'Classes Competing in Kindness' project can apply to become an orphan sponsor through their teachers, with the knowledge of the school administration. The Orphan Sponsorship Form can be hand-delivered or filled in via the https://www.ihh.org.tr/bagis/yetim page. After the Orphan Summary Information Form reaches the classrooms, orphan information can be accessed via www.ihh.org.tr/yetims. IHH has been organizing relief efforts for orphans for many years. IHH delivered periodic aid to more than 1 million orphans in 120 countries within the scope of its aid efforts for orphans. IHH, which has 42 orphanages in 12 countries, also provides support to orphans with 1 orphan education center and 1 child life center," the statement added.
