COAL CONSUMPTION EXCEEDED 8 BILLION TONS
Pointing out that global coal consumption has increased in 2022 compared to the previous year, Turkish Coal Producers Association (KÖMÜRDER) President Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Erdoğan stated that the consumption has exceeded 8 billion tons for the first time in a single year, and said, “The risks that Europe experienced in gas supply were effective in the increase in the demand for coal used in electricity production. These new developments also require the reshaping of coal policies. In the 4th Clean Coal Technology Summit, we will discuss it with foreign experts and important representatives of our sector. The summit will also pave the way for new collaborations.”
