The labor union, which has the largest number of members in Turkey, Hizmet-İş Union has signed a work that will shield workers against violence in working life. Service-Is adapted the contract numbered 'C190' prepared by the International Labour Organization (ILO) against violence in working life for its implementation in collective agreements.
Hizmet-İş Union affiliated to Hak-İş Confederation has signed a remarkable study on violence in working life. The Convention of the ILO numbered 'C190' on the prevention of violence in the workplace was adapted by the Hizmet-İş Union to be implemented in collective agreements. The 'Zero Tolerance to Violence Certificate' was signed by Hak-İş/Hizmet-İş Chairman Mahmut Arslan in the program held at the union's Emek Guesthouse in Ankara.
WE AIM TO PROTECT EMPLOYEES AGAINST VIOLENCE
Speaking about the importance of the contract prepared before the signing ceremony, Arslan said, “Our Hak-İş Confederation and Hizmet-İş Union have been fighting against all kinds of violence in workplaces for many years. It has undertaken many important projects to increase social sensitivity and raise awareness. With this agreement we have prepared today, we aim to protect not only our members with whom we have collective bargaining agreements, but also all employees against violence.”
