The Six Opposition Parties meeting will be held on January 5, hosted by the Future Party. The text, consisting of 9 main and 73 sub-titles of the Common Policies Working Group, consisting of representatives of 6 parties, will be presented to the leaders. It is claimed that the leaders will start to talk about the presidential candidate for the first time at the meeting.
The Six Opposition Parties, consisting of the Saadet Party, Republican People’s Party (CHP), Democrat Party, Future Party, Democracy and Progress (DEVA) Party, and Good (IYI) Party, will convene for the 9th time next Thursday, hosted by the Future Party. Davutoğlu, the host, went on a traditional leaders tour before the meeting.
LEADERS WILL REVIEW THE TEXTS PREPARED BY THE WORKING GROUP
In addition to 9 main titles such as law, justice and judiciary, public administration, transparency, auditing and anti-corruption, economy, finance and employment, sectoral and regional issues, science and technology, education and training, social policies, foreign policy, security and defense, the basic policies prepared by the working group formed within the scope of the transition to the "Strengthened Parliamentary System" are completed in 73 sub-titles. The working text, which is stated to be close to 200 pages, will be reviewed by the leaders at the meeting to be held.
EXPECTED TO BE ANNOUNCED IN JANUARY
The text prepared by the joint working group of the party staff will be announced in January if the leaders approve. While it is expected that there will be no problems regarding the common policy text during the meeting, the leaders' declarations after the meeting will also include the date when the basic policies text, namely the election manifesto, will be announced. The roadmap for the transition to the parliamentary system, in which the leaders are personally concerned, is also expected to be discussed.
THE CANDIDACY ISSUE WILL BE TALKED FOR THE FIRST TIME
It is claimed that the presidential candidacy issue, which is eagerly awaited by the public, will begin to be discussed at the meeting to be held on January 5. While the emphasis on 'common candidate' was prominent in the texts announced before the meeting, the issue of multiple candidates is also said to come to the agenda at the meeting. While the leaders are expected to be cautious about the candidate issue, it is stated that they will seek an answer to the question of how the candidate will be determined in the first place. In addition, the information that leaders can talk about the name has also activated the backstage.
HEADLINES LIKE IMAMOĞLU DECISION, HEADSCARF, SYRIA ARE ALSO ON THE TABLE
At the meeting, it is discussed that the prison sentence given to Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), the political ban and the terrorism investigation prepared by the Ministry of Interior may also come to the agenda. The traffic of talks initiated by the government with Syria and the headscarf bill presented to the Parliament will also be among the topics to be discussed. The Good Parti had previously announced its decision to the public in order to eliminate the referendum option on the headscarf regulation.
