The fact that the questions asked in the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) exam, which millions of candidates took last Sunday, were the same as some of the questions prepared by Yediiklim Publishing, brought along many doubts. With the issue being on the agenda in the social media, the statement of the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in a very short time, "We made investigations, the allegations are baseless", caused the reaction of the candidates who took the exam to increase even more. Even though OSYM President Halis Aygün was dismissed as a result of the instruction given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the State Supervisory Board (DDK), the candidates really want the exam to be cancelled.
“CANCEL THE KPSS 2022!”
Millions of candidates, who are left with no choice but to become an civil servant, see the remedy in KPSS. The fact that the questions in the exam, which millions of candidates took with the dream of establishing a good future last Sunday, were exactly the same as some of the questions prepared by Yediiklim Publishing, made the candidates who took the exam give up. OSYM's immediate statement that ‘the allegations are unfounded’ on the matter increased the suspicions of the candidates even more. Yediiklim Publishing House, on the other hand, stated that it is normal to have a few questions like every publishing house. Considering all these dubious statements, the candidates expressed their justified reactions with the label "Cancel the KPSS 2022".
IT DEEPLY SHAKEN THE TRUST OF CITIZENS IN PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS
As a result of the incompetence, the doubts that emerged about the exam deeply shook the confidence of the citizens in public institutions. Stating that the questions in KPSS and the 5 questions prepared by Yediiklim Publishing are exactly the same, the Education and Science Power Solidarity Union announced that it will file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office. Union President Oğuz Özat stated in his statement that it is too serious an issue to be overlooked with a simple statement. Emphasizing that the exam was dubious, the Syndicate announced that it would be a close follower of the process. While the government, which cannot make young people dream other than being civil servants, destroys state’s institutions, it also reveals how incompetence has increased in our society. Citizens who want to build a good future now want to trust public institutions and public servants.
