THE PROPOSAL IN 2008 MAY COME TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE TBMM

After CHP's 3-point law proposal about headscarf, it is stated that the Justice and Development Party (AKP)'s constitutional amendment proposal, which was brought to the Constitutional Court in 2008, from the name of the law proposal on the headscarf, will also be included in the said amendment package. While no information is given on how many items the package will contain, there will be some regulations in the package that will prevent the family institution from being worn down.

In order for the constitutional amendment proposal to be discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, 200 deputies must be present. The adoption of the constitutional amendment proposal will require 360 votes and 400 votes will be required before it is submitted to a referendum.
