The construction sector, which is one of the sectors where the crisis was hit by the most severe, housing sales declined by 24.8 percent year-on-year.

Economic crisis also hit the housing sales. According to the figures announced by the official institution of the state Turkstat, declined 46.7 percent in January compared to the previous month and 24.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In the month in question, loan sales declined by 77.2 percent; sales to foreigners increased by 81.9 percent.
 
TurkStat announced January sales statistics for January. In this period, mortgaged housing sales decreased by 77.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and fell to 6 thousand 537. 
 
The share of mortgage sales in housing sales was 9 percent. In mortgaged sales, Istanbul ranked first with 215 housing units and 18.6 percent share. In total housing sales, Ardahan became the province with the highest share of mortgage sales with 42.9 percent.
 
The number of houses sold for the first time in January, decreased by 30 percent compared to the same month last year decreased to 31 thousand 48. The share of initial sales in total housing sales was 42.6 percent.
 
Second hand housing sales decreased by 20.4 percent in January compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 41 thousand 889.
 
Economic crisis and recession housing also hit. In January, house sales decreased by 46.7 percent compared to the previous month and by 24.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In the month in question, loan sales declined by 77.2 percent; sales to foreigners increased by 81.9 percent.
 
Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI), announced the statistics on housing sales in January. Accordingly, the number of homes sold in January compared to the previous month decreased by 24.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous month was 72 thousand 937.
 
In the housing sales, Istanbul ranked first with 13 thousand 455 houses (18.4 percent). With 6 thousand 785 housing sales (9.3 percent), Istanbul followed Istanbul with 3 thousand 795 houses (5.2 percent). The cities with the least sales were registered in Ardahan with 7 dwellings, Hakkari with 9 dwellings and Bayburt with 17 dwellings.
 

SALES FOR FOREIGNERS INCREASED BY 82 PERCENT

 
On the other hand, home sales to foreigners increased by 81.9 percent in January compared to the same month of the previous year and became 3 thousand 168. While Istanbul was the first in this area to sell 361 houses, this province was followed by Antalya with 601 sales, Ankara with 182 sales, Yalova with 177 sales and Yalova with 162 sales. In the same month the citizens of Iraq from Turkey 605, 305 Iranian citizens, citizens of Russia, 195, 191 citizens of Afghanistan, Jordan has gained 151 citizens housing.
