An Istanbul court on Nov. 1 ordered the arrest of businessman and activist Osman Kavala, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Kavala was detained in Istanbul on Oct. 18 as part of an investigation into the December 2013 graft probes and last year’s failed coup attempt.
He was referred to Istanbul’s Çağlayan courthouse on Nov. 1 after his proceedings at the police headquarters.
The court later ordered his arrest on charges of “attempting to overthrow the constitutional order” and “attempting to remove the government of the Turkish republic.”
