Salih Turhan, Chairman of the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) and the National Youth Foundation (MGV), participated in the program themed "Jerusalem Night" traditionally organized in TRNC by the Love and Brotherhood Association (SEVKAD).
Speaking in the program, Turhan explained the importance of Jerusalem and Cyprus in the Islamic world.
“A GENERATION THAT LOVES JERUSALEM IS GROWING UP”
Turhan underlined that Milli Görüş leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan created the sensitivity towards Jerusalem and Cyprus in Turkey and in the world.
"Our Erbakan Hodja and Milli Görüş movement reminded this nation of the basic principles of the Islamic faith. That is why today a generation is growing up that loves Istanbul, Diyarbakır, Nicosia, Famagusta, Mecca and Jerusalem. Cyprus is the key to both the Mediterranean and the Islamic geography. 'In this respect, our first qibla, the ancient city of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the lands of Palestine are of close interest to Cyprus'. Today, our first qibla, Al-Aqsa Mosque, the city of the prophets, Jerusalem, and the fertile Palestinian lands are under occupation. Occupied Israel is an occupier of every square centimeter of land it is in. Let alone Israel's capital being Jerusalem, even Tel Aviv is unacceptable," Turhan said.

Turhan pointed out that the Masjid al-Aqsa being under occupation is not only a matter for the Palestinians.
"The occupation of Jerusalem is not an issue between the Arabs and the occupying Israel. Masjid al-Aqsa, Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories are matters for the entire ummah. The days when the terrorist organization Israel will be eliminated from Jerusalem and the occupied lands are very near. We know that Zionism's ability to spread all kinds of mischief throughout the world today is not due to their power, but to the fragmentation of Muslims. The Saladins who will put an end to this fragmentation will emerge from among our young people who grew up in these most auspicious works carried out in Turkey and Cyprus," Turhan said.
