The project, which is a tool of imperialist goals on the TRNC, must be canceled immediately and the brainwashing of the Turkish Cypriots must be prevented.
Akıncı and Anastasiadis started the project
It has been revealed that the Imagine Project, which was initiated by the duo of Mustafa Akıncı and Nikos Anastasiadis in 2017 and financed by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, continues to exist. According to the information received, a German diplomat who recently visited TRNC President Ersin Tatar requested Tatar to restart the Imagine Project. After the request, Tatar sent a written instruction to the TRNC Ministry of National Education and enabled the Imagine Project to be restarted.
“PROJECT MUST BE CANCELED”
Former advisor of Rauf Denktaş, Sabahattin İsmail, made remarkable statements regarding the ImagIne Project, which poses a threat to the existence of the TRNC.
Noting that the project in question should be canceled as soon as possible, İsmail said, "Even in the British period and the Republic of Cyprus, education has been under the jurisdiction of both national communities separately, there has been no joint education. Under the responsibility of this committee, joint training within the framework of a project funded by Germany and having political goals is absurd, it is a shame on ourselves. It is to serve to sever our youth from the motherland and the TRNC."

Noting that the project in question should be canceled as soon as possible, İsmail said, "Even in the British period and the Republic of Cyprus, education has been under the jurisdiction of both national communities separately, there has been no joint education. In this case, it is unacceptable that the Education Technical Committee, which was established by Akıncı for these works under the umbrella of the Presidency, should also operate in the Tatar period. Under the responsibility of this committee, joint training within the framework of a project funded by Germany and having political goals is absurd, it is a shame on ourselves. It is to serve to sever our youth from the motherland and the TRNC. This committee should be abolished, this project should be abandoned."
