Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu met with Ankara representatives of TV, newspaper and digital media.

Meeting with journalists at the breakfast program held at the headquarters of his party, Davutoğlu talked about President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's criticisms of him, especially about the meeting with Ümit Özdağ and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Regarding the allegation that Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ will be given a ministry, Davutoğlu said, "While the issue of ministries was not discussed between the 6 parties, Kılıçdaroğlu would not enter into such a bargain with Özdağ. We have never sat down and said, 'This ministry is yours, this is mine'. There is nothing that is not transparent in the Nation Alliance. I have full confidence in Kılıçdaroğlu."

“ANY MINISTRY BARGAIN WAS NOT MADE”

Emphasizing that Turkey is heading towards a critical election, Davutoğlu said that high turnout is expected in the elections. Davutoğlu claimed that Ümit Özdağ would be given a ministry.

"Many of our ideas do not come to terms with Özdağ, but that doesn't mean we won't negotiate together. We have a common text that we knit for 2 years. We said we will send them in 2 years, Özdağ said 1 year. There is no big difference. Özdağ saying 'We will send them in accordance with human rights law' is not like saying 'We will send them on the buses'. It means something has changed. While the issue of ministries was not discussed between the 6 parties, Kılıçdaroğlu would not enter into such a bargain with Özdağ. We have never sat down and said, 'This ministry is yours, this is mine'. There is nothing that is not transparent in the Nation Alliance. I have full confidence in Kılıçdaroğlu," Davutoğlu added.

"ERDOĞAN ALSO AGREEED THAT THE VIDEO WAS MONTAGED"

Regarding President Erdoğan's confession of the video used by the Nation Alliance against Presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Davutoğlu said, "A montage video circulated, and the president accepted it. The fact that this happened in an election with such a high turnout caused polarization. Despite the unfair conditions, more than 50 percent of our people showed that they wanted change in an election in the form of a referendum. If they want a place where young people continue to be arrested on the morning of May 29, but those who call for arms from the mosque, they should vote for Erdoğan. I got goosebumps. Look at the words spoken from the pulpit of the mosque. If young people have moved away from religion, if my religion has increased, this is one of the brutal policies of the government. Or, those who want to vote for Turkey's future, those who want to get rid of them, can achieve this by voting for Kılıçdaroğlu."
