Presidents of six political parties met for the 3rd time! The heads of the Saadet Party, CHP, IYI Party, DEVA Party and the Gelecek Party met under the hosting of Democrat Party (DP) Chairman Gültekin Uysal.
The summit, which started at iftar, lasted for about six hours. After the summit, a declaration signed by 6 leaders was shared with the public. A message of determined unity emerged from the summit where important issues were discussed.
THE SUMMIT LASTED 6 HOURS
Felicity (Saadet) Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, GOOD (Iyi) Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener, Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA) Chairman Ali Babacan and Future (Gelecek) Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu attended the summit hosted by Chairman Gültekin Uysal at the Democratic Party Headquarters.
Just before the iftar, their leader, Uysal, who accepted the invitation, greeted them at the door, and the 6-party meeting lasted until 1.30 pm. After the summit, a statement with the signatures of 6 leaders was published.
JOINT STATEMENT IS PUBLISHED AFTER THE SUMMIT
Following the summit, the following joint statement was made:
"As the leaders of the six political parties that came together the day after the 102nd anniversary of the opening of our National Authority, the Veteran Assembly, by the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, on April 23, 1920, we once again expressed our determination on the 'Reinforced Parliamentary System' that will bring the Turkish Grand National Assembly back into prestige. We confirm further. In this context, we reviewed our efforts to deepen our cooperation against the political engineering that the government wants to do with the new election law. We also exchanged views on the cost of living that deepens poverty and the ways out of the economic destruction process. We discussed the duties and working methods of the working groups that we decided to form on the constitutional and legal framework of the transition to the Strengthened Parliamentary System, election security and the basic principles and objectives of our cooperation."
4 TASKS TO THE WORKING GROUP
In this framework, the working group on constitutional and legal legislation; 1. Political moral law, 2. Regulations on making the Economic and Social Council operative, 3. Ensuring the independence of the Central Bank, 4. Establishing an institutional structure responsible for long-term strategy and planning.
WHO WILL BE THE PRESIDENT CANDIDATES?
As we have emphasized many times as leaders regarding the presidential candidacy, we will nominate a conciliatory, liberal, meritorious candidate who has internalized democratic values, embraces the whole of our nation, and adopts the principles of political morality.
BIDEN'S STATEMENT CONDEMNED
In addition, we condemn the statement of US President Joe Biden, which makes historical facts a tool of political abuse, and we emphasize that the government, which remained silent with current concerns about the first use of the term 'genocide' by the US President last year, bears the common responsibility of this grave crime.
