Strong condemnation came from Turkey for Sweden's support for PKK terrorism and Islamophobia. Despite all the warnings from Turkey, the Swedish authorities did not withdraw their permission to Paludan's heinous act.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, "Despite all its warnings, the vile attack against our holy book, the Qur'an, in Sweden today is another indicator of the level of hostility towards Islam, racist and discriminatory movements in Europe."

In Sweden, the immoral Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the Danish Islamophobic Strict Direction Party (Stram Kurs), was given permission to burn the Quran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm.

In a statement made by the Stockholm Police Department, it was stated that Paludan was given permission to demonstrate near the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm on Saturday.

Paludan, in a statement to the Swedish media on January 15, claimed that he would not come to Sweden to burn the Quran again and that the police could not protect him properly.

Swedish anti-Islam journalist, Chang Frick, offered Paludan to burn the Qur'an on Saturday in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm and promised to cover all his expenses.

Frick claimed that he had paid for the demonstration permit obtained from the police and that he would exercise his "right to report" as a journalist.

HARD REACTION FROM ANKARA

Vice President Oktay condemned Sweden for allowing the burning of the Qur'an.

"I condemn the Swedish authorities, who are partners by allowing these crimes targeting Turkey and the entire Islamic world, and invite them to turn away from this unacceptable mistake as soon as possible," he said.

Bozdag, Minister of Justice, "I condemn the Swedish government and police for allowing a despicable act against our holy book, the Holy Quran. This despicable act is a hate crime. 'Freedom of thought' cannot be used as an excuse or cover for insulting and disrespecting the holy book of billions of Muslims," he said.

In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Despite all the warnings of our country, we condemn in the strongest possible terms the vile attack against our holy book, the Holy Quran, in Sweden today. This despicable act is another indicator of the level of hostility towards Islam, racist and discriminatory movements in Europe," it was stated.

SWEDEN IS PARTNER IN THIS CRIME!

Noting that Sweden continues to allow provocative terrorist acts against Turkey despite all the warnings, Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop stated that the Swedish government officials allowed such a vile action.

"Allowing a despicable act against the Qur'an in front of our Embassy in Stockholm means the Swedish administration's complicity in hate crime," he said.

AKAR: MEETING WITH SWEDEN DOESN'T MEAN ANYMORE

Recalling the provocations of supporters of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG against President Erdoğan and Turkey in Sweden, and the news that the Swedish police allowed the demonstration in front of the Turkish Embassy where it was stated that the Quran would be burned, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said, "It is unacceptable to remain inactive and not react to them. Necessary measures should have been taken. At this point, Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson's visit to Turkey on January 27 has neither significance nor meaning. Therefore, we canceled the visit."

HEAD OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS: "I CONDEMN IT"

Ali Erbaş, President of Religious Affairs, "I condemn and strongly condemn the Swedish authorities' permission for an action aimed at burning our supreme book, the Holy Qur'an, which was sent in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm to enlighten people from ignorance. The Swedish authorities, with their attitude, became a partner in the hate crime committed against Islam, Muslims and Turkey, and targeted social peace. We will continue our fight against these dirty minds until the end," he said.

In the meantime, Sweden's Ambassador to Ankara Staffan Herrström was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and condemned in the strongest terms for allowing the burning of the Holy Quran in front of Turkey's Stockholm Embassy.
