Diesel support from Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to farmers! At a time when the farmer stopped cultivating due to the high prices of diesel, fertilizer and seed, Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş took another meaningful step.
Yavaş, which previously provided seed support to farmers, this time rolled up its sleeves to provide diesel support.
During the election period, Yavaş promised that “My biggest dream is to make the producer from Ankara rich” and kept his promise that “We will provide diesel support to small farmers registered in the Farmer Registration System”.
HE KEPT ONE MORE PROMISE
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş is fulfilling the promises he made before the election one by one. Initiating a rural development move in the capital, Yavaş said, “My biggest dream is to make the producers from Ankara rich” and pressed the button to give a new support to the local producers.
Announcing that they will provide diesel support to small farmers registered in the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS), Yavaş kept this promise and brought the presidential letter to the agenda of the Metropolitan Municipality Council.
THE GOAL IS TO REDUCE THE INPUT COSTS OF THE FARMERS AND INCREASE PRODUCTION
"It is planned to provide diesel fuel support in order to support production in our districts within the borders of Ankara province and to reduce the input costs of our farmers," the presidential letter, which includes the statements, was accepted unanimously by all groups in the Metropolitan Municipality.
After the diesel support decision accepted in the parliament, Yavaş gave good news to the farmers through his social media accounts,
"We are starting Turkey's most comprehensive 'Diesel Support to Farmers' on the basis of local governments. I would like to thank our council members who supported our decision. We will not allow our producer to be crushed under the economic crisis," Yavaş said.
CAPITAL CARD WILL BE GIVEN TO FARMERS
The Metropolitan Municipality, which supports domestic producers in many fields from seeds to livestock, especially during the pandemic period, is preparing to distribute Başkent Cards to farmers as of January 17.
The Rural Services Department plans to provide diesel support to tens of thousands of farmers, who will be determined according to certain criteria, in March, after the card distributions are completed.
