The Decision on the Re-determination of the Special Consumption Tax Amounts of Some Goods in the Schedule (A) of the List (I) annexed to the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) Law No. 4760 was published in the Official Gazette.
Pursuant to the President's decision; the prices of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) on the date of entry into force of the decision will be taken as a basis for each commodity within the scope of the sliding scale system, and in case of a decrease in these prices due to international oil prices or exchange rates, the ÖTV will be increased by the amount of the decrease.
IT WILL BE TRIED TO RECEIVE ÖTV THAT IS NOT RECEIVED FROM FUEL
When such ÖTV increases reach the base ÖTV amounts (2,5265 TL in gasoline; 2,0559 TL in diesel; 1,7780 TL in LPG), the sliding scale system will be terminated in terms of goods that come to the base ÖTV amount. However, in case of an increase in the said prices, the ÖTV will not change, but each new price determined by the increase will be applied by accepting the base price. Thus, the ÖTV, which has not been taken on fuel for a long time, will be tried to be collected piecemeal without directly increasing the ÖTV and without creating additional inflation due to the ÖTV.
