A woman employed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence has filed a lawsuit against Netanyahu’s wife, who she accuses of “abusing” her, according to the Israeli press.
Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported Friday that the 24-year-old domestic worker had filed the lawsuit against Sara Netanyahu on Thursday.
In the lawsuit, the worker -- whose name was not given -- accuses the prime minister’s wife of “abusing and insulting” her.
Up until two months ago, the plaintiff -- who is demanding compensation of 225,000 Israeli shekels (roughly $64,000) -- had worked in the cleaning department of the prime minister's residence.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the plaintiff also accuses the prime minister’s wife of refusing to grant her adequate vacations or sick leave.
Mrs. Netanyahu is also currently under investigation for allegedly “mismanaging” the prime minister’s residence.
