The latest situation in the Retirement Age Victims which the ruling wing stated that they would not remove in the past, still remains uncertain. Work began at the end of 2022 on the regulation, which President Erdogan said will not be done in recent years. Although President Erdoğan stated that the EYT will be dissolved before 2023, it still has not been resolved. Most recently, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin announced that the technical work on EYT has been completed.

Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, answered the question about the EYT regulation. Regarding EYT, Bilgin said, “The issue is out of us, it is now in the Assembly group. The technical work has been completed, it is now a decision to be made by politics.”

The eyes are now turned to the politics pointed out by Minister Bilgin. Victims, on the other hand, are calling for an end to long waits.

IT WOULD BE SOLVED BEFORE 2023

Regarding solution in the EYT, President Erdogan gave a date in December. The problem, which is expected to be solved by the end of December 2022, is still waiting for a solution. “Our colleagues from the relevant ministers continue their work. We will enter 2023 by removing this from our table,” Erdoğan said.
