“WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED NEW APPROACHES IN AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOLS”
Reminding that the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry signed a comprehensive cooperation protocol, Minister Özer pointed out that production is important against the food crisis.
"As the Ministry of National Education, we decided to restructure our agricultural high schools in order to turn our country into an agricultural base and to move our country to an advantageous position in times of crisis. In addition to 123 agricultural high schools, we opened 23 more this year, bringing the number of agricultural high schools to 146. Together with our agricultural high schools, we have stepped into a very comprehensive cooperation on updating the curriculum and establishing state-of-the-art application laboratories, and redesigning education according to the priorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. At the same time, by establishing R&D centers on 4 million square meters, which is the application area of these high schools, we have had the opportunity to implement new approaches related to agriculture and animal husbandry in a practical way," he said.
