The index was down 3.9 percent to 85.7, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a report. This month-on-month decrease was driven by deteriorations in the services, real sector, construction and retail trade confidence indices.
The services confidence index saw a slide of 6.2 percent. Real sector and construction confidence indices followed with 3 and 1.7 percent declines respectively. The retail trade confidence index slightly dropped by 0.2 percent.
However, consumer confidence soared by 5.6 percent to reach 66.9 from 63.4 in January month-on-month.
