Turkey's benchmark stock index started the day with a 132.39-point or 0.13 percent rise to open at 103,942.17 points on Thursday.
The banking sector dropped 0.01-pct while the holding sector index increased 0.07 percent.
Among all sectors, the tourism index was the best performer with a 0.67-percent rise, while the insurance sector index started the day with the biggest decline, falling by 0.17 percent.
At close on Wednesday, the BIST 100 rose by 0.61 percent to reach historic high of 103,809.78-point, with a total trading volume of 5.3 billion Turkish liras (approximately $1.47 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate declined to 3.5680 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Thursday, compared to 3.5810 at Wednesday’s close.
