In the message shared by Educators Union (Egitim-Bir-Sen) on the occasion of Teachers' Day, it was stated that teachers should always be remembered.
"Our teachers, who build the spirit, idea and knowledge worlds of the generations that will lead our country to its goals and carry our nation to the future, should be appreciated not only in certain days and periods, but always, and they should be signed to work that will make them feel that they are valuable," the union stated.
“NOT BEING A PROFESSIONAL LAW”
In the statement made by the union, "With the current version of the Teaching Profession Law No. 7354, which includes important personal rights such as re-activating the career ladder, introducing an increase in wages and additional degrees for specialists and head teachers, abolishing the written exam in the candidacy process, and 3600 additional indicators that we have made efforts and struggles for, the expectations of our teachers and the collective bargaining agreement. that it did not meet the demands we brought to its desk, that it lacked the content to qualify as 'professional law'; We express once again that it should be revised in a way that will protect the reputation of the teacher, increase his motivation and meet his expectations. In this context, it is essential to make remedial arrangements in all stages and processes of the teacher's career steps, status, working conditions, rewards and sanctions, personal rights, and protection against violence," it was added.
“CHANGES MUST BE MADE IMMEDIATELY”

"In order to define the profession as it deserves, to protect and increase the reputation and rights of teachers on the social ground, to eliminate the dispersion of provisions in terms of duties, authorities, qualifications, and merits created by regulations and circulars, changes should be made in the professional law immediately.
