"Eğitim-Bir-Sen" Educators Union applied to the Ministry of National Education and requested that spouses working as contract teachers in different provinces be included in the inter-provincial relocation system in order to ensure family unity.
The union demanded that teachers working in provinces outside the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian regions be relocated to places where there is difficulty in employment, if they so wish, within the 2022 relocation period of teachers.
“THEY HAVE LEGAL AND SUITABLE REQUESTS”
The union called for the relocation system of teachers who have become a bleeding wound.
Reminding that there are spouses working as contracted teachers in different provinces in the ministry staff, the statement said, "They have justified and appropriate demands for relocation based on family integrity. In order to ensure family integrity, which is a constitutional right and a requirement of universal law, it is essential that the practice of the past years be carried out within the 2022 teacher relocation calendar."
“THE POSSIBILITY HAS BEEN PROVIDED IN THE PAST”
It was reminded that in the past, teachers working in provinces other than the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian regions were allowed to apply for relocation in regions where there was difficulty in employment, regardless of the time requirement.
The union, who wanted this practice to be brought back in the past, made the following statements in its statement:
"In addition to meeting the teacher needs of places with teacher shortages, this practice, which also serves to meet the demands of teachers who apply for relocation, would be re-enacted within the 2022 relocation calendar."
