Behind the scenes of the power duel in Armenia, where all the attention of the world is focused, the conflict of interest of the USA and Russia, which tries to realize their wild plans at every opportunity, stands out.

Pashinyan's desire to break the deep-rooted Russian influence in the bureaucratic levels of the country and to create an Americanist and European supporter central structure and his criticism of Russia recently are among the reasons for the coup attempt.

The top of the state was confused in Armenia, which suffered a heavy defeat during the Karabakh War with Azerbaijan. The Armenian army demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Pashinyan answered this call by dismissing the Chief of General Staff and calling the people to the squares. It was noteworthy that the military coup attempt took place right after Pashinyan's criticism of Russia recently. It is a question of what steps Pashinyan, who trusts the support of Joe Biden, the new president of the USA, and European countries, will take due to his anti-Russia attitude. In Armenia, where political stability has not prevailed in any period of history, internal turmoil seems to continue.

THE ARMY REQUESTED RESIGNATION, PASHINYAN CALLED PEOPLE TO RESIST

The coup attempt, which stirred Armenia and announced as a last-minute development by world agencies, started with the Armenian General Staff Chief of Staff Onik Gasparyan and senior commanders publishing a statement calling on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to resign. On the other hand, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called his supporters to the streets, describing the resignation calls of the army commanders against him as a "coup attempt". Pashinyan spoke in a live broadcast on his Facebook account after the Armenian army's call for his resignation. Calling his supporters to the streets in his speech, Pashinyan said, “We have to defend the revolution. We are in a very difficult situation. I decided to dismiss the Chief of General Staff. The most important task now is to protect the power of civilians and the people. I take the responsibility for Armenia's defeat in Nagorno-Karabakh, but the people also have some questions about some high-level army officials and these questions cannot be avoided ”.

THE ARMENIANS WHO SURVIVED IN THE WAR, ARE FRIENCED TO PASHINYAN

Thousands of Armenian soldiers died in the 44-day Karabakh War, which resulted in the decisive victory of Azerbaijan, while thousands were captured by the Azerbaijani army. As the heavy defeat against Azerbaijan expanded the anti-Pashinyan front in the Armenian society, especially the relatives of the soldiers who died and were captured in the war think that Pashinyan should resign from his position as prime minister. The groups that support Pashinyan in Armenia are mostly anti-Russian and American-European. Since Pashinyan took office, he has been attempting to establish a central authority independent of Russia in the army, bureaucracy, economy and politics. Pashinyan's criticism of the Alexander missiles against Russia three days ago is seen as the most up-to-date and concrete development supporting this thesis.

PASHINYAN TRUSTS IN THE USA AND EUROPE

Nikol Pashinyan, who has been trying to follow anti-Russia policies since the day he came to power, was supported by the USA and many European countries in the Karabakh War. Joe Biden, who competed as the presidential candidate of the United States of America during the ongoing Karabakh War, made statements supporting the Armenian army and the Pashinyan administration. Biden Turkey not to interfere in the Karabakh conflict and the need to provide support to the Azerbaijani army was found in the form of unlimited statement.

PASHINYAN'S CRITICAL FROM RUSSIA: "ALEXANDER MISSILES NOT WORKING"

The discussions on the use of Russian-made "Alexander" short-range ballistic missile systems in Armenia recently occupied the agenda of the country. Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, in a speech he criticized Prime Minister Pashinyan, argued that the Iskender missiles purchased from Russia during the Karabakh War were not used sufficiently. Replying to Sargsyan's criticism, Prime Minister Pashinyan stated that the missiles in question were out of order and said, “Only 10 percent of the Russian-made Alexander missiles exploded during the Karabakh War.

Replying to Sarkisyan's criticism, Prime Minister Pashinyan stated that the missiles in question were defective, "During the Karabakh War, only 10 percent of the Russian-made Alexander missiles exploded. Sargsyan should know the answers to many questions and should not ask questions whose answers he knows. Sarkisyan should ask himself the question of why Alexander is not exploding or 10 percent of the missile is just exploding," he implied that the missiles purchased from Russia in 2016 were out of order.
