Saadet Party Women's Branch Chairperson Nurgül Beytiye Ekinci made evaluations on the agenda at the press conference she held. Pointing out that the government has driven Turkey into bankruptcy, Ekinci said, “Due to the irrational policies of the Erdogan government, our Turkey is hitting bottom in every field. With the management style of the government, it resembles the sinking Titanic ship.”
Saadet Party Women's Branch President Nurgül Beytiye Ekinci conveyed her wishes of healing, Almighty God's mercy to the citizens who lost their lives in consecutive traffic accidents in Gaziantep and Mardin in the past weeks, and patience for their families. She also conveyed her wishes for a fast recovery to the citizens who were injured in another accident in Rize.
Pointing out that the government's management approaches put the citizens in economic difficulties, Ekinci reminded President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s words ‘If you buy less than the egg you bought 8 years ago, the milk you bought, the cheese you bought, the bread you bought today, we tell you not to vote for us,’ and she added, "While the minimum wage in January 2021 could bought 1,883 breads, 1,214 breads can be bought with the minimum wage of January 2022. Again, I want to give you a few numbers. The price of 1kg olive oil increase between 2008 and 2022 has reached 20 times, cheese 11 times, bread 11 times, tomato paste 14 times. Our Honorable President was saying, ‘By making tea-bagel calculation, Women, you are the boss of the kitchen,’ but the kitchen turned into a fire place and we, the women who are the bosses of the kitchen, say; You screwed up the economy. For the sake of Allah Almighty, for the sake of this nation and for your own good, leave the government.”
“YOU ARE THE FIRST POWER IN THIS COUNTRY TO BE CRITIZED BY CHILDREN”
Stating that citizens are trying to survive with their financial difficulties, Ekinci stated that education costs have increased before the upcoming academic year and said, “Schools will be opened soon. Even if our people work, men and women, black and white are thinking about how they will cover the education expenses of their children. Because the costs increase faster and higher than wages. Price tags in a grocery store last a week at most. Each price tag leaves its place to more expensive price tag from day to day, from week to week. Their voices may not reach you, but we; Our hearts break when we hear the voices of children saying they can't go to the canteen, let alone stationery. Come on, the opposition is lying. Shopkeepers lie. Retired lies. The man on the street is lying. Is the boy who says ‘I can't buy books, I can't buy a question bank, I can't buy novels’ is also lying! Is the child who says, 'I can't eat at school', is also lying? Also accept that: You are the first government in this country to receive criticism from children. We think you don't need any other proof to admit that you're mismanaging our country.”
“AGRICULTURAL WORKERS DEMAND THEIR RIGHTS FROM STATE MANAGERS”
Touching on the problems of seasonal workers, Ekinci stating that seasonal workers demand their rights from the government, “Imagine a family; In order to make a living, almost every woman, man, old and young child should migrate to that region during the year. So what's the reward for all the hard work? A wage below the minimum wage, deprivation of health insurance and social rights, tent life in terms of accommodation, and even the deprivation of education of children! Are you not the administrators of this period when a whole family, including children, women and men, works; but despite this, they were deprived of their right to health and education in terms of human rights, let alone comfort, let alone living? All seasonal agricultural workers, especially women, demand their rights from you, the state administrators,” she added.
“SAADET PARTY WILL BE THE BIGGEST SUPPORTER OF THE PRODUCER IN ITS POWER”
Expressing that the Saadet Party will solve the problems, Ekinci underlined that the main reason for the poverty problem is corruption and said, “The reason for today's pessimistic picture is; it is an unequal distribution of income, it is the embedding of resources in concrete, it is bribery, it is rent, it is waste. In other words, the architect of today's pessimistic picture is the Justice and Development Party (AKP)! We will change this pessimistic picture with the hopeful policies of our Saadet Party. We will transfer resources to production. We will give support to citizens, not supporters. Whoever produces in agriculture, stockbreeding, factory or technology; When we come to power, he will know that my state is with me from the beginning to the end of this job! We will be the biggest supporter of the producer. So we will be with the people.”
