The proposal regulating the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKEK) to become a joint stock company was recently submitted to the Parliament by the AK Party. Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalcin pointed out that the data on the Machinery and Chemical Industry Institution reacted to this proposal and pointed out that all employees would be victimized by this decision.

Recently, a 12-article bill signed by AK Party Kırıkkale Deputy Ramazan Can and his fellow members of parliament was presented to the Parliament. This 12-item proposal proposes to amend the Law on the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation to Become a Joint Stock Company. Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalcin reacted to this offer on his social media account and stated that it would cause grievances for the existing rights of the employees.

“THE SUGGESTION WANTS TO CHANGE MKEK COMPLETELY”

In the message shared by Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalcin from his social media account, "The draft law, which includes the design of a new structure and status, with the claim of accelerating the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation, has been reflected to the public. It is desired to transform MKEK into MKE AŞ, transfer its capital to the treasury, and radically change the personnel regime," he said.

He pointed out that MKEK will completely change with this decision.

“RIGHTS OF EXISTING STAFF ARE DESTROYED”

Yalcin stated that the existing status and rights of the employees were taken away in the draft law proposal.

"Existing personnel and managers are required to be removed from the scope of Law No. 657 and 399 and transformed into 4A status of Law No. 4857. Existing personnel are offered a contract and almost as if their status and rights are completely taken away," Yalcin added.

“TALKING ON THE FIELD IS ESSENTIAL”

Underlining that the draft proposal should be discussed at the table, Yalcin said, "Under the name of status change, which forms the basis for 'Privatization'; It is unacceptable that this bill, in which all the personnel of the institution will be victimized, be presented to the Parliament without discussion, as if they were smuggling goods from the fire. It is essential to speak on the field where there is no opportunity to speak at the table."
