Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) shared the data of “Higher Education Employment Indicators, 2021” with the public. Regarding the disclosed data, it was stated that the registered employment rates of individuals who graduated from a higher education program in Turkey between the years 2011-2020, their first job finding period after graduation and their average monthly earnings were calculated. While the data about the departments were shared separately, it was noteworthy that the employment period was more than one year in the data.
THE HIGHEST EMPLOYMENT RATE IS IN THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS LICENSE
According to the data shared by TURKSTAT, the registered employment rate of any undergraduate graduates was announced as 71.1 percent, while this rate was 63 percent for any associate degree graduates.
When we look at the undergraduate graduation areas, health and welfare graduates take the lead with 82.7%, education with 77.8%, engineering, manufacturing and construction with 77.8%, information and communication technologies with 76.7% and 72.3%. and those who graduated from natural sciences, mathematics and statistics departments took the lead.
ENGINEERING, MANUFACTURING AND CONSTRUCTION IS LEADING IN THE FIELD OF GRADUATION
Based on the registered employment rates according to associate degree graduation fields, engineering, manufacturing and construction fields lead with 71.3 percent, followed by agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary medicine with 66 percent, information and communication technologies with 65.8 percent, and 65 percent. Mathematics and statistics took the lead with 2, and business, management and law with 64.3 percent.
ASSOCIATE PROGRAM WITH THE HIGHEST EMPLOYMENT RATE: PARAMEDIC
According to the departments with the highest employment in the associate degree field, the leading department was paramedic with 97.1%, followed by ambulance and emergency care technicians with 97 percent, police vocational training with 92.1%, industrial automation with 87.9% and 86 percent. With ,7, electronic communication became one of the leading departments.
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES FIND A JOB IN 13.6 MONTHS AND ASSOCIATE GRADUATES IN 14.8 MONTHS
In the data, which includes data according to both graduation fields and departments, the time of finding a job for graduates is also included. While the average time to find a job for undergraduates was 13.6 months, this period was calculated as 14.8 months for associate degree graduates.
THE HIGHEST EMPLOYMENT AMONG THE DEPARTMENTS IS TEACHING THE HEARING HANDICAPPED
While detailed data on the departments with the highest registered employment rates at the undergraduate level are also included, the departments with the highest registered employment are teachers for the hearing impaired with 96.6 percent, followed by family economy and nutrition education with 95.5 percent, 95 percent. Teaching the mentally handicapped with 4, teaching the visually impaired with 94.4 percent and child development and education teaching with 94.3 percent took the lead in registered employment rates among the departments.
