The USA, which creates sanctions to restrict Russian energy, is also trying to isolate Turkey in the region.
While the world is locked in the war between Ukraine and Russia, remarkable developments are taking place in our region. The USA is looking for a new route to block the energy from Russia. By opening warehouses in the Persian Gulf and the Balkans, the USA is trying not to use the Turkish lines, making calculations to disable Turkey as well. The USA, which holds its energy resources by feeding the terrorist organization PYD in Syria, aims to provide security (!) with terrorists in energy shipments. İsmail Hakkı Pekin, former Chief of the Intelligence Department of the General Staff, made remarkable statements to the Milli Gazete.
“AMERICA WANTS BOTH RUSSIA AND TURKEY TO BE DISABLED”
Former Chief of General Staff Intelligence Department İsmail Hakkı Pekin said, “When we look at the activities of the USA, it is trying to cut off all the energy that may come from Russia. Security architecture in Europe is changing, Russia is trying to be isolated, Russia's energy is being tried to be limited. Russian energy is transferred from Turkey. When Russia's energy is isolated, Turkey is also isolated. However, USA wants to disable Turkey and not to use Turkey's lines. It is trying to meet Europe's gas needs by building gas depots in the Persian Gulf and the Balkans. It is being discussed whether it will meet or not.”
“THE USA WANTS TO CHALLENGE TURKEY AND IRAN”
Pekin, warning that Turkey and Iran may be brought against each other by the USA, added, “In the Ukraine War, the United States of America (USA) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) have more ships in the Black Sea, more aid to Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, Cyprus- The Eastern Mediterranean issue… These are the things the US might want… If Turkey doesn't meet the US's demands, there may be a threat of conflict with Iran. So, what does making Turkey fight Iran do for the United States? There is Greece in West, here is Iran. There are too many arguments to counter. There are also very serious activities to confront. The issue may come to the fore, such as colliding Turkey and Iran with either Iraq or Syria.”
“CLAW LOCK OPERATION WILL ENSURE STABILITY IN THE REGION”
Pekin said, “Kirkuk wants to send Mosul gas and oil from Iraq to Turkey via a short line from the corner of Syria and to Europe by making use of Turkey's existing lines. Turkmen and Israeli gas can also be added here. Another issue is the plan to send natural gas and oil through Israel. There is a project to reconstruct the Baghdad-Haifa railway and send it by ships from there. Where is Turkey in this? While doing this, there should be stability in the region. Therefore, I consider the Claw Lock operation as a long-term operation at the same time. It will come to the disputed regions and ensure stability. It will eliminate the existence of the terrorist organization PKK until Sinjar.”
