Ilgın Sugar Factory, which was built by Milli Görüş (National Opinion) leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan and known as "Erbakan's Factory" in Ilgın, was sold to 637 million liras with the tender made yesterday.
Turhal and Ilgın Sugar Factory, the most valuable sugar factories of Türkşeker, were sold with the tender made yesterday. Turhal and Ilgın sugar factories, which were sold in Erzurum Sugar Factory, were sold below 2011 prices as in previous factories. According to 2011 prices, only two factories have lost about 500 million pounds.
Ilgın Sugar Factory, which is one of the most profitable factories of Türkşeker, was profitable above the annual 50 million liras. The Privatization Administration continues to sell the candy factories in haste to escape from the fire. Bor, Kırşehir, Çorum and Yozgat sugar factories yesterday after the sale of three sugar factories made more sales. Turhal Sugar Factory and Ilgın Sugar Factory were sold to Erzurum Sugar Factory. The two factories that were sold were among the most valuable factories of Türkşeker. While the Turhal Sugar Factory was purchased by Kayseri Şeker for 569 million liras, Alteks Textile received Ilgın Sugar Plant for 637 million liras.
SOLD UNDER FACTORY VALUE
The sugar factories continue to be sold under the tender made in 2011. According to the calculation made by Şeker-İş Trade Union on the basis of the tender made in 2011, Ilgın Sugar Factory had to be sold to 866 million liras and Turhal Sugar Factory had to be sold to 834 million liras. According to this calculation, Turhal Sugar Factory 265 million pounds, Ilgın Sugar Factory was sold 229 million pounds lower. The Privatization Administration announced on April 11th that the 3 sugar factories, whose final proposals were given, would be held yesterday. The firms that submitted bids for factories were not disclosed before the tender. While only two companies gave their bids to Erzurum Sugar Factory, these companies were found to have high prices.
What will be the ERZURUM SUGAR FACTORY?
While the privatization administration has sold 6 sugar factories with two factories sold yesterday, it is not clear yet how the Erzurum Sugar Factory will be tracked. It is expected that the contracts for the 7 plants, which will be finalized on April 18, will be held on Friday.
