Justice and Development Party (AKP) and IYI Party held the Group Meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). While President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan harshly criticized the Six Opposition Parties and Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at the group meeting of his party, IYI Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener criticized power over the decision made about Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) President Ekrem İmamoğlu.
ERDOĞAN: “MR. KEMAL, CARE FOR YOUR SON”
Referring to CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu's statement, “We are like father and son with Ekrem İmamoğlu,” President Erdoğan said, “What does the person at the head of the CHP say yesterday; we are like father and son. When we heard about these, we thought, Mr. Kemal, take care of your son. We couldn't help but tell him that he was looking for other parents. Joking aside, we don't care what the Six Opposition Parties do or what game they play. We will take care of our business, we have a job.”
MINIMUM WAGE WILL BE ANNOUNCED TODAY
Stating that they will announce the minimum wage on Thursday, that is, today, Erdogan said, “We cannot consent to the fact that the increases to be made in the salaries of workers, civil servants and pensioners from the beginning of the New Year will melt away in a short time due to the greed of opportunists.” Expressing that he expects a growth of 4-5 percent in the economy this year, Erdoğan said the following regarding inflation: “There is no obstacle other than rapidly reducing inflation to the levels we have determined, in front of our country's achievement of its targets. Hopefully, we will witness together that inflation will go downhill in the coming months.” After the group meeting, Erdoğan answered journalists' questions. IYI Party leader Meral Akşener did not respond to CHP Chair Kılıçdaroğlu's warning “not to interfere in the party's internal affairs”, referring to herself without giving a name. Akşener, regarding her presence at the rally in Saraçhane, said, “I ran to my brother Ekrem, just like I ran to Erdoğan 20 years ago in the face of the injustice he suffered.” Akşener, on the other hand, said the following for those who said that the lawsuit and punishment in question were his own operation: “I really feel sorry for Erdoğan.
