Economic and Social Researches Center (ESAM) discussed all aspects of vaccination studies. The conference on “Current Situation Vaccination Studies and the Future” organized by ESAM Health Policies Coordinator was held online.
The conference chaired by ESAM Health Coordinator Dr. Mehmet Eyyup Hazar, and attended by Istanbul Medipol University and Health Ministry Scientific Committee Member Prof. Dr. Recep Öztürk and Ahi Evran University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil.
Speaking at the conference held online, Scientific Committee Member Prof. Dr. Recep Öztürk, "We need to work in the fields of agriculture, health and education in order to be ready for possible pandemics. Policies for this should be determined," he said.
"OTHER OUTBREAKS MAY OCCUR IN THE FUTURE"
Stating that infectious diseases threaten the world, Öztürk, “Those who deal with infection should deal with today and tomorrow. If a country has no strategy, it has no future. He has to think about the future. Other diseases will continue to kill. Epidemics will continue to occur in the future. I'm not saying to scare you. Such epidemics occur when animals enter their natural habitat. We need to establish an institute and work on this subject. In order to be ready for possible epidemics, we need to work in the fields of agriculture, health and education. Policies should be determined for this. Of course, mutations are common in the nature of viruses,” he said.
"WE CAN HAVE A PERIOD WITHOUT MASKS IN SUMMER MONTHS"
Prof. Dr. Recep Öztürk made important evaluations about the emergence process of the Covid-19 pandemic and the spread of the pandemic.
Responding to the claims that Covid-19 is a virus produced in laboratories, Öztürk said; "There are conspirators. They call this lab virus. Okay, let's say that. But how will it be dealt with? I can not get any answer. There is no credible article about this. There are biological wars, we know. But we need to be strong in science to know this. Those who claim this today are what those who do not know science say… I think our citizens will show the necessary sensitivity to the vaccine. If the epidemic is brought under control in the world, we can have a period without a mask in the summer."
