Ethiopia (Abyssinia), one of the important countries of East Africa, is going through a sensitive process. With the Tigray war, which has an ethnic-based appearance, there has been a deep regional chaos for a while.

Although the war continues between Ethiopian national army, led by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, the Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM) and the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF), the effect of the war has taken over the whole country. In fact, not only the country, but also Eritrea, from other countries in the region, was involved in the war, and large masses of people had to cross the border, thus gaining a regional dimension.

Due to political relations, especially Egypt and Sudan, many countries in the region are somehow involved in the Ethiopian war. It should not be difficult to guess that the USA and Israel did not stay out of the war due to their political investments in the region and took steps to intensify the war.

Although the Tigray war is between certain parties, it causes damage in a wide area due to the way it emerged and the effect it caused.

“GET ARMS AND PROTECT YOURSELF”

The disarmed Wollo Muslims lives a heavy tragedy in the region under Tigray rule.

The mixed army gathered by the Ethiopian army from other provinces stated that this war was a war between Amhara and Tigray regions and did not concern them, they fled the battlefield and left the Wollo region to its own fate.

We can say that a civil war situation has emerged in Ethiopia with the recent state of emergency decision. We can also say that this civil war has already moved masses of millions of people, forced huge human populations to migrate, and caused looting and humanitarian drama. After Somalia, now the warlords of Sudan are almost supporting the outbreak of a crisis in Ethiopia, they seem. Ethiopia, where thousands of mercenaries come from, seems to be the new region of the war economy and war barons.

MISSIONARY AGAINST VICTIM MUSLIMS

For some of the Ethiopian Muslims, there is a huge crisis against Muslims in Wollo. Abiy Ahmet's commitments to Muslims and especially because of the failure to keep promises about liberation, there is an insecure view on Abiy Ahmet.

There are information and indications that systematic missionary activities can be carried out by the Protestant government, especially in the areas affected by the war. Efforts must be made to ensure that the victimization of Muslim people who are victims of war is not exploited. The traumatic problem in Wollo has to be addressed. No news leaks to the world from the region where there is also a media quota. In order to know the situation of Muslims who are caught between Abiy Ahmet's uncertain attitude, systematic isolation in the Amhara region and TPLF persecution, some studies should be carried out in the region quickly. The TPLF and the government have to make a statement to the world about the drama that has been inflicted on Muslims in Wollo.

TURKEY MUST LOOK AFTER

Ethiopia has almost been left to internal conflicts. Global structures strongly nurtured by the Amhara and Tigray diaspora, despite heavy humanitarian dramas, they do not prefer a conflict resolution role. Our work focused on development and capacity building in the region, should take the most active position in this process, and our efforts should emerge for the completion of conflicts in the region and the formation of a free, participatory Ethiopia.

MUSLIMS SUDDENLY BECAME VICTIMS

As a rematch of the aggressive war that took place in the Tigray region recently by the TPLF, the war was moved to the Wollo region, where Muslims live. Wollo and Dessi Muslims, who were not party to the war, suddenly became victims of this war.

Dessie and especially the Wollo region, which was recently captured by the TPLF, is a Muslim-inhabited region. While the Wollo region, which is famous for its madrasas as well as its identity features, was looted by Tigray fighters, neither the Amhara federal army nor the Ethiopian army did anything. The people of Wollo, who are almost in the middle with their Muslim identity, pay the cost of the war by staying in the middle the worst way. The Muslims, who have been deliberately disarmed for a long time, are like the unarmed victims before the Tigray fighters. The response given to the Muslims who asked to Abiy Ahmed for their protection or the support of arms was very surprising.
